Night Porter is licensed under MIT or Apache-2.0, your pick. The license text that ships with it is what counts.

No warranty

The software comes “as is”, without any warranty.

It’s also early (0.x), so things will change, and some of them may break.

You’re responsible for what gets pushed

Night Porter runs an AI coding agent on your behalf. You choose the autonomy level, the trust rules and the checks, and the commits and comments it makes go out under your name.

So start at observe or suggest, and only give it more rope once you’re happy with what you see.

Play nice with platforms

Stick to the terms of GitHub, GitLab, your agent provider and the projects you contribute to.

Some projects want AI help disclosed. That’s what the reply footer is for, so keep it on wherever it’s expected.
